Best pair of tin snips I've owned. These cut through pallet bands like butter. Fair price, great quality. Have owned for 1 year now and still work great after extended usage.

These tin snips work perfectly for my needs. I purchased them to cut screws for my new cabinet door handles, and they cut them like butter. I didn't need to put a lot of pressure on them to cut through the screws. And the cuts were all straight! Over all, I am very happy with my purchase, and highly recommend these tin snips to my family and friends and anyone who may be on the fence to just buy them!

Works great for hardware cloth. I haven’t tried it on anything else though.

These are the best snips for under $20 that I have ever found. The cutting edges stay sharp for a long time, as long as you are not cutting metal that is heavier than 18 ga. I use them daily for metal stud framing and T-bar, I shave been using the Stanley Fat Max tin snips for about a year, and they still are sharp and durable

The other day I was puttering around and needed a pair of snips - but I was in the back yard and the closest snips were in my roll-around tool box in the basement. I didn't even have a pair in the garage.I ordered a Stanley FatMax 9 7/8 inch straight cut pair of snips based on price, reviews, and the name "Stanley". (Not that "Stanley" means "Infallible" but it is a name I recognize and that's a plus to me). Stanley offers a limited Lifetime Warranty on this gadget. The Stanley performs as advertised; I tried them out on various bits and pieces when I received them and they are just the thing for my tool tote - the one that has "general" tools in it for fixit jobs and puttering.I like the locking mechanism, and it can be unlocked using one hand.Speaking of hands, the Stanley has a very nice set of hand grips that should (YMMV) keep your hands fairly comfortable when snipping away on longer jobs.EDIT 7/18/16: With additional usage I've found that it's quite possible to pinche one's hand while using the FatMax. An adjustment in one's grip can avoid being pinched, but I felt I should mention the issue. Not a tool that I'll use every day, but at least now I'll have a set of snips that are more readily available. Tool boxes are great, but only if you're near them when you need the tool.HTHRegards,Jim

It did the job. I had to cut a sheet of aluminum grill and it made the task easy.
