I already had some of these larger drill bits that I have collected over the years. I am a "Car Guy" that builds Hot Rods so I am wanting to updating my tools and tired of having to use my oddball collection of well used, dull, missing sizes and even broken drill bits in the larger sizes. I wanted a new, complete set that was "USA Made" and something I could be proud of. This Stark U.S.A. Elite, Premium Industrial Grade set of eight bits (9/16" to 1" in sixteenth inch increments) seemed to fit the bill. I was impressed with the packaging listing the 'Specifications' that said, "USA Made Carrying Case" and the other technical features of these HSS Material construction 'bitts.' That misspelling of 'bits' made me look closer to the fine print under the UPC code where the ubiquitous "Made in China" print. So the bottom line is that Stark U.S.A. may have made the metal case, but the bits and even the packaging were all made in China. I would return these because of that, but it isn't worth the hassle to me as I don't use these larger sizes that often anyway. I just hope that when I do use them that will will make the large hole I need more than once. So buyer beware when buying from Stark U.S.A. unless you really want just an advertised and supposedly "USA Made Metal Case" of China made drill bits. Always read the small print too!
