My 1996 Honda Fourtrax 300 starter stopped working, so I went with this starter. It was somewhat of a pain to install, but that is no fault of the Starter that was purchased. It starts and runs every time now. It does seem like it is slower to turn-over than what the factory starter was like, but considering the 4-Wheeler is 27 years old, the existing starter was worn out.

This starter was bought for our 4TRX in July 2024. It has quit working and we will need to put out more money for another starter. Not at all happy with starter and will NOT recommend it.

I too got a defective solenoid. Starter fits okay and work using the old Honda solenoid. We will see how long it lasts.
