Worked as it needed for my for 8N tractor. It gets 4 stats because you must be aware that the terminal that you connect your battery too is on the left side not the right. This was a problem. Because when I hooked it up I thought I got a defective part , but after having a huntch from a friend I reversed the battery wire with the end connected to the starter and it worked. So be aware of this when mounting it. Just wish they had marked the battery side so this headache I had was avoided.

Does not seem to work with my ford Jubilee tractor. I attached the wire from the starter button to the 3rd small pole and starter will not engage.

This is a good replacement for the original. There are no installation instructions but there is one key point: When installing, be sure to point the post for the starter wire inwards, toward the engine. Otherwise you have the other two posts backward and it won't work.
