This spool of vinyl coated steel cable comes with a perfect little kit with everything you need to use it.So you won't have to buy that other stuff (assuming this hardware works for you)Overall, very nice little set!The kit includes these very useful items:- 20 rope thimbles (horse collar-shaped things inside the loop at the end of the cable) and cable crimps (for permanently holding the cable around the thimble)- 10 cable clamps (in case you don't have a crimping tool or want a removable fastener) and a little hex wrench for tightening the clamps- 5 turnbuckles (for tightening the cable); they have an eyelet on one end, hook on the other- 2 lag anchors for use in concrete (I would not have thought of this)- 2 small steel carabiners (mind, these are probably not rated for much tension)Other less-useful items:- 10 large plastic wall anchors (plastic wall anchor + steel cable = no bueno)- 10 plastic "tent pegs" (no, these would not hold a tent)- 10 eyelet screws (okay, you might use these)- 1 retractable pocket tape measure (you'll probably just use a regular tape measure, but a nice little add-on)- Pack of twist-ties (no idea why these are included)Notes:- I don't know how much tension this cable or the included hardware can handle; this is only 1/8" thick, so keep that in mind- I cannot verify the spool is indeed the stated length as I won't be unrolling the entire thing- You may need to purchase heftier hardware, depending on your situation
