Got it for some basic wire wrapping I want to do and 18G is the perfect thickness for what I needed! You can't do fine things with that as it's very sturdy, but you can do enough, at least for my use.And once it is formed, it stays in its shape, just like it should.Will repurchase once I run out.

Definitely does not feel like 18g. Not good for chainmail. This feels more like 20g.

The image attached to my review is how I received the spool of wire. I bought a new spool, but this looks like it was either used (Seems like not a lot of wire for 100', but I can't say for certain if this is the case), or a worker messed up badly when removing the spool from the spooler and had to hand-wind it, and Remington Industries has little to no quality control.I'll use what I can of it, but due to the hand winding and all of the bends, it ended up work hardening. Annealed wire is VERY important when working with a gauge this large and the material it is. I can't get it straightened out with nylon pliers nor by pressing it with non-grip metal pliers. Will definitely be picking a different company's spooled 18g SS316L wire when I need more.
