We originally purchased it to use at shows on a travel camper. We decided to ditch that idea, and months later decided to put it over my shed doors to keep the sun down and have a place my animals when I am in the shed working to have some shade (since they don't leave my side and can't come in). For a door, you can't really roll this out very far or you can't enter said door. The extensions arms are short so the awning opens fully to basically 2 ft off the ground. So we didn't, except to roll down to remove the leaves and get a better degree for rain to roll off. Since only 2 or 3 ft out rain would puddle up on it quickly. Less than a week, one side on the end of the pole broke making the awning collapse, still attached to the building by the support poles. Again, which are way to short to extend the length of this awning for a normal 8ft. Out extension. Anyway...my husband managed to set a screw in that side and place the awning back up. It seemed secure. Nope. One strong wind and now both sides are broken, basically plastic things on both ends are stripped. The awning material is fine, the main pole is fine. The main pole having cheap plastic knobs is the problem. We are out money for -2 weeks of cute and very little shade protection for my animals. Glad we didn't apply this to the camper for shows. Would have been a liability IMO of falling on customers. Totally useless in rain, which in all fairness their ad doesn't mention rain now.Live and learn I suppose. Don't buy something and expect to have a warranty over a year anymore. Buy it, put it up quick...you have 1 month to find out it stinks to return.

Love it. Had it about a year and still holding up great even when windy. Fits door perfect. Nice quality fabric. Easy to retract and set up. Love it.

I needed a small awning over my back porch. This one gets the job done

The little shade was amazing for shading the afternoon sun. I read a lot of reviews that said it broke in little wind, but thought I’d take the chance anyways. Surprisingly. It held upIn wind better than the reviews stated. Unfortunately, it still broke… no wind, nothing. All of a sudden, the reel to rol it up, just wouldn’t hold. Very sad.

I purchased two of these a few months ago, but only got them up about three months ago. Already one has fallen off and had to be put back up and the other one has fallen twice. The part that connects the awning to the frame is made of cheap plastic and the one that fell twice is destroyed. I’ll have to see if I can get some metal ones to replace all of them. By the way, there was a slight breeze blowing the second time it fell, but it was only blowing at 5 mph that day.

Our back door is exposed to harsh Florida afternoon sun and thunderstorms. This awning was easy to install and provides some protection from the sun and rain. It also adds curb appeal to our home.

My son and I installed this awning according to the given instructions and it worked fine at first. The second time we tried to retract it before a summer rainstorm hit, the beaded pull chain gear somehow got stripped and broke. Now it won't do anything except roll through the gear. I'm very unhappy about this. It was put up to keep the sun off of the front of my mobile home because we live in Florida and it's 95+ degrees out on a regular basis and the awning is unusable.

Worked great until it rained. Then the plastic ring that controls the retraction bent and now it’s garbage. It just unrolls with nos support. I have two over separate windows. Both broke, don’t waste your money.
