The Steinel 07051 39 mm reflector nozzle is an accessory for use with heat guns that directs the hot air from a heat gun around pipes and tubing for even heating without restricting airflow. It is formed from high-grade, polished stainless steel for durability, and fits Steinel heat guns with a nozzle diameter of 1.30 inches (33.02 mm). This nozzle is suitable for such applications as soldering, bending plastic tubing, and applying heat shrink tubing.

Heat guns are hand tools that emit a stream of heated air at variable temperatures up to 1,300 degrees F (700 C). Most guns have an electrical heating element to control output temperatures and adjustable fan motors to regulate and focus airflow. Heat guns with high airflow output (greater than approximately 20 cubic feet per minute) are sometimes called heat blowers. Heat guns can be used for a variety of applications ranging from copper and plastic welding to touching up shrink wrap. Accessory nozzles (sold separately) are used to shape the air stream over a wider area, or direct it around pipes and tubing for even heating which prevents adjoining surfaces (such as panes of glass) from overheating, and some heat gun models incorporate workbench stands to allow hands-free operation.

Steinel manufactures heat guns, glue guns, gas torches, and sensors. The company, founded in Germany in 1959, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standards and is Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant.

Used this on many cables from 10 AWG electrical wire to network and coax cables. Works extremely well up until you get to the diameter of an RG-11 coax cable then you have to either be extremely careful or hold it slightly above the entrance as it barely fits. Heats evenly and quickly.

I bought this hoping it would work for my heat gun and it does. When it arrived the end that fits on the gun was little more than 1-1/8 inches diameter. The nozzle of my gun is 1-5/8 diameter. As I looked at the piece that attaches to the gun it looked like it would fit better inserting into the end of the heat gun rather than fitting over the outside of it. I bent it out a little and sure enough it fits perfectly into the inside of the nozzle. My heat gun is just a generic Canadian Tire brand heat gun which I think is the same as many of heat guns sold under various brands. When the attachment is on the heat gun it wobbles a little if I shake it but there is no way it will come off without compressing it and pulling it out firmly. It seems to be really well designed. It tried it with some heat shrink tubing and it worked like a charm.

I was looking for something like this for my harbor freight Chicago adjustable temperature heat gun and it fits and works perfectly. There was no fitment issues at all and you can easily compress the ends with your hands which is what I did to make it even a tighter fit. Worked great to control the heat in the area I needed to shrink wrap wires and wish I purchased this sooner.

As with all things Steinel the nozzles are expensive. They do fit well and work as intended with no fitment issues. Works perfectly for heat shrink and soldering copper tubing. I have found that I get good results with soldering copper tubing with the heat gun vs a torch when building things in my hobby shop. No flame soldering is an advantage in some cases.

It works great at circulating the hot air around the wire for better management of installing shrink wrap insulation.

Seems fin. Slightly lower quality than I would like but gets the job done. But for what it is it should be about a third the price.

Perfect fitment to 1.5"/38mm heat gun nozzle. Appreciate the little "flaps" that keep it from going too far onto the nozzle. Made of 0.022"/0.56mm heavy gauge steel so it should hold up during extended use.

I use this reflector for one purpose only - heat shrink and solder electrical joints. It works great! Circulates the heat around the entire wire, so I don't have to rotate it or the gun. Allows me to get into tighter spaces. I use this with this product: 75pcs Solder Seal Butt Splice Heat Shrink Butt Wire Connector Terminals Electrical Copper 1.5-6.0mm. I can heat shrink and solder all in one step! Whoa! The joints are not just good electrically, they are also waterproof. I've used this to add led lights to ponds where the connection is submerged 100% of the time. Have not had a single failure yet. Fantastic!

Haven't tested on heat shrink tubing yet as I just received it, however I wanted to let people know that it will indeed fit the Milwaukee M18 2688-20 cordless heat gun without any modification.Seems expensive at $20 and you really have to look for the nozzle size of the device as it's marketed being at 39mm hook nozzle, which isn't referring to the diameter of the collar (which is a 33mm). It's an open spring construction collar, so I'm thinking it could fit gun with nozzle diameters up to 35mm but may not stay put on bigger ones. Once I'll get more experience using this hook nozzle I'll try to remember sharing feedback here.Construction quality is nice, heavy gauge metal and good indents, hard to deform and no sharp edges. Made in Germany according to the packaging it came in.
