We purchased this kit for a fun family competition, including a race when all six vehicles were completed. The product quality was better than expected for the price and we had a great time building them. Younger children definitely need help building the vehicles but even our 3 year old grandson was able to move the lever to start the motors and make them run. We used a flashlight to power the solar helicopter. Our family enjoyed the vehicles in this kit very much and I'd recommend this product to others.

This was a wonderful gift for my boyfriend’s young sons, ages 7 and 8. It kept them busy for most of a rainy weekend. They were able to make them together and the fact they run is really cool. If you wanted, you could even paint them because they are balsa wood.Unfortunately the helicopter didn’t stay together and the tank stopped working. That’s why I’m giving it 4 rather than 5 stars.

This was a great pack of kits. Every car/truck or whatever worked a little differently, so you got a lot of variety at a low price. They are not the highest quality thing, they're fun things to put together with your kid, and they do work, mostly. Mine also like painting them.

These STEM projects were a great find. I used them for my eighth graders and they loved them. They (mostly) read the directions and assembled alone, after getting a few instructions and some background knowledge. The price was fair for the item, and the material was well put together. The excitement of putting a craft together using critical thinking skills, troubleshooting, self- correcting, and seeing the vehicle in motion, was a wonderful experience.

I gifted this to my 6 year old nephew and it was pretty impossible for him to assemble on his own. I think the age rating is for 8 years and up. It was still pretty difficult as an adult to assemble them as well. The included screws are very tiny and easy to loose. He enjoyed the cars once built but likely will not purchase again.

My 7 year old grandson really enjoyed putting together. This is great for beginners who love to build. The simplicity of the actual working gears made it easy as well as exciting to see it work! We have three more to put together. Great value.

Will buy again! For my kids and gifts. The 5 year old boys who have worked with these love them and can build and rebuild/fix them with some adult supervision.
