This box is our mail carriers dream! But not why I bought it. Our standard box was destroyed in a delivery truck-trailer collison. So I started looking for a replacement. This was sort of what I had in mind, only this was bigger than the standard package style, injection molded type. I could not reuse the existing 4x4. The hole left behind was only 16" deep (not 24" as recommended in the instructions). But out of pure laziness, and the incredibly rocky soil here, I simply widened the top of the hole by forcibly rocking a new 4x4 side to side and front and back, then set the slightly shorter (31"?) post in the existing hole. I sifted concrete around the gaps, watered it down, and let it set. Rock solid. I did rest the base of the mailbox directly on the surface before adding the bolts. I did paint the top section to match our cabin roof. 🙄😠Very simple installation. Minimal tools required. Only down side I see is the flag apparently cannot be easily removed or replaced if it is damaged (kids). I tried to remove it for painting the top and it would not budge. However, if it were ripped off, a replacement may simply pop in. All other doors and sundries easily pop in or off.So far so good, with plenty of room for modest boxes and packages.

It was easy to install and seems to be good quality. Installation was very easy.

Was able to easily assemble and mount to my already existing pole. We love it!

the box says it takes two people to install but i did it on my own easily. all you need is a drill if you have an existing post planted already but i did mine from scratch. here is how!dug out my old aluminum post mailbox then slid an old round fence post inside the new plastic mailbox stand, pre-drilled holes and then screwed in the bolts. took the stand with the post inside to the hole that was dug deep enough so that the bottom of the stand came to the top of the hole. i poured in water and cement mix in layers around the post making sure it did not get soupy. leveled the post in the cement but did not attach the top part for a few hours as it was extra weight. while i was waiting, i added vinyl numbers to my new box and popped the doors on front and back. as soon as i felt confident the cement was set up enough i attached the top of mailbox on the post with the provided screws and my cordless drill then shoveled excess dirt from the hole over the cement around the bottom. the task was not as daunting as i had thought it would be. it would be even easier just to slide the entire thing on an existing wood post and screw it directly onto that but i didn't have that option.this mailbox is so much larger and more stable than my last box was.the doors stay shut with magnets. the inside stays dry when it rains. i love this box and so does my delivery driver. GO FOR IT

Wanted a larger type mail box and this fit the bill. Had a post so easy install and is a asthetically appealing. Like the front door back door for easy retrieving.

Sturdy, easy to assemble and nice looking. The magnet on the Bach opening could be stronger. It's very nice to not have to step into the road to get the mail out. The size accommodates sizable packages. We did have trouble getting the numbers to stay stuck on the mailbox even after cleaning with alcohol. But overall I would recommend.

This is the 3rd time we have brought this mailbox due to hit & runs by unknowns drivers. It is large enough for most packages which does help the mailperson when delivering Amazon packages. Will buy again, if needed, but hope this one will last a lot longer than the last two.

Stalker neighbor kid hit my old one with his mom's suv. I had to purchase this to replace. I feel it's very sturdy
