These are Ventilated plates people, meaning they do not fit tightly together by design to allow for ventilation for whatever you are growing. They worked just fine for me as agar plates, they were pretty sturdy for brittle plastic but none of them actually cracked on me so they are pretty sturdy

The product arrived as expected and in good shape packed two ten-plate sleeves in a heavy cardboard box. There was no breakage. The plates were as advertised 100x15 mm. They are made of a good medium weight, well molded plastic. The sleeves are made of a medium weight plastic that can be used for storage of unused plates if properly closed. I have used two sleeves without any indication of contamination. They were sterile

Have been gone through about 14 sleeves of these so far, so 7 boxes. Using for agar.. all have been sterile, no broken dishes or torn sleeves.. 10 packs make it nice for working in a still air box as opposed to the usual 20 sleeves that take up entirely too much space. Wish they sold sleeves of 10 in bulk boxes of 500.. till then, I’ll keep buying these..

These were GREAT for my Mad Scientist themed Halloween dessert display. I'm sure that they would also be good for their actual intended use. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the measurements, but they fit my mini brain desserts perfectly.All of mine arrived perfectly sealed and in one piece. Would definitely buy again!

Plastic petri dishes are perfect bug catchers for young (elementary) kids to use safely. Easy open and close, and transparent. It’s possible to see top and bottom of the insect without distortion, with or without a hand lens. The price is inexpensive enough so you can buy plenty to allow for the occasional dish to be stepped on by a careless foot. Highly recommend for this purpose.

I am not a biology professional so do not know what dimensional standards apply to this product. However, I would think that if it is stated to be 100 mm that would be the working diameter or outside diameter or something relavent. The actual inside diameter is 84.5 mm. I purchased these to do seed germination experiments with my grandson and thought that 90 mm filter would fit inside without haveing to cut to fit. They work but just not convenient.
