I was happy to see that none of them were broken or cracked. There were two that had the smallest little chip in them but it was just about unnoticeable. There was no thin spots or other visible inconsistencies or defects.As someone had mentioned, the sizing isn't 100% consistent. For me it's not an issue. The differences aren't huge and they all fit the way they should. (I did notice that if you play musical chairs (lids?), you can switch them around and find ones that fit better.)Someone else had mentioned that theirs had stuff on them, but mine were clean, the paint (or whatever that's used to mark them) was slightly messy on some but nothing crazy, and other than that they were spotless.Overall, I'm quite happy with this purchase especially for the price. They did exactly what I needed them for, will definitely be buying more.

When I got them, one of them had brown smudges on it and chipped spots. 7 out of 10 plates contaminated and I know it’s not my fault.

Came as described except there was a few broken dishes maybe like 8 or 10 so I took 1 star. No biggie just maybe pack them better next time.

Only one broken which isn't bad but I do have to deduct one star for that even if it isn't the seller's fault as Amazon handled the shipping. Quality is good, "lids" (they're really just a larger bottom dish) fit flat on the bottoms, i.e., no major imperfections of the glass lips on the bottoms. Lid gap is present as you would expect with these cheap dishes, but it isn't out of control. May 2.5-3mm around the edge. However, when you combine that with the "lids" coming down almost completely to the bottom of the dish then you'll definitely need some skill to wrap these.Would give 5 stars if they offered partial refunds. Anyway, I've seen reports of much worse breakage in shipping for other sellers so I'm just going to keep the 9 and eat the one. At this price point not going to cry about it. If they crack apart during dry oven sterilization then I'll update my review.

These are somewhat delicate, but were shipped with extra care and padding. I have bought similar ones from other companies and had about a 50% survival rate. With these, I only had one broken lid. Thats a win in my book. These plates also contaminate drastically less than the reusable plastic ones I have for whatever reason.

I'm using it in mycology so I'm not expecting pure perfection in the shape of the dishes. It's the 3rd time I'm purchasing as from other sellers I received quite a few broken ones. Tho I thought some will brake with the delivery, with this ones I had 3 of 90 dishes broken. That's acceptable for me without a problem. About 7-8 others shows also some cracks but I can use them. I found it acceptable price also as I really wanted to exclude plastic ones. Dishwasher and pressure cooker safe and I can reuse them whenever I need it. Really happy with my purchase

Great Petri dishes, never had a problem with this vendor. Except this time the package arrived with one broken lid. It was wrapped like the others, and broken within the wrapping paper. Package didn’t show any sign of shock. The lid must have been broken during packaging.No way to contact vendor other than through here, hoping this will catch their attention, and that they’ll fix the situation so I can give 5 stars I stead of 2.Haven’t heard back from the vendor, downgrading to one star. I won’t buy from them again.

This glass petri dishes are designed to be reused as they are more durable than the standard plastic petri dishes which degrades over time due to different type of culture medium. Because it is made out of borosilicate glass, heat sterilisation is also possible to be used on the glass dishes as it does not melt under high temperature. However some the petri dish's edge is chipped which may cause cuts so handle with care.

This set of 10 dishes is well made and suitable for purpose. Unfortunately two of the dishes arrive broken as the dishes are quite fragile. The dishes that arrived unbroken are very good and I am pleased with them.
