Use this as a basecost not main coat. Its not meant to be sticky. It holds your top coat on and keeps it from melting off in high temp. Its also good as a base for cool cold bars. Without it you have to wax up almost twice as much and when you do multiple longboards twice a year the price adds up.

Worked great to keep my painted, no roller or casters truck bed drawer from sticking. Coated with wax, opens with ease even fully loaded.

I'd never used a base coat, but absolutely I got better results doing so. Both a better pattern of bumps and more importantly, a much more lasting wax job. In summer in the the Florida Gulf, the base coat really makes a difference.

I love this product. It's easy to apply, but I use it as a regular surf wax because climate-specific waxes are too soft and sticky for me. While trunking it in cold water, this wax offers plenty of traction for me.
