These dowels could not be screwed in tightly to prevent them from owing out and dropping the skis suddenly. They have poor construction that prevents a simple product from doing its job.

The first season some of the legs came loose and by the second ski season they have fallen out. The wall unit has been virtually useless. Don’t waste your money.

Sturdy construction and hangs very easily. Recommend finding studs, of course... And when you do, the mounting holes are spaced perfectly. Suitable for garage or living room!

I decided to try this ski rack because I thought it looked good, even though the reviews were mixed. I didn’t have any problem assembling or installing it on the wall. Unfortunately after a season or two, several of the pegs loosened to the point they won’t hold the weight of the skis anymore.If you take a look at the attached photo, you’ll see the wooden pegs have these metal inserts that the bolts screw into. These metal inserts are not sturdy. They have little metal fins that snap off and then they fall out of the pegs. You can’t tighten them.

This ski rack is perfect for my needs. It was easy to install. I would caution you to make sure to leave enough space from the cieiling, as nowadays the skis are wider, and will need to lift the ski higher to catch hold on the rack. I installed the rack myself a little too close to the ceiling. It still works fine though. I do recommend this product.

2 pegs broken..paid $90+..couldn't even hold skis without breaking

The pegs are too short and flimsy to support wider skis or skis that have any early rise at the tip. One of the pegs arrived chipped, but the real problem is that they splay apart and the skis fall forward away from the wall. I need to use a strap to keep my skis together or else they come apart on the wall and fall down. Might be fine for kids skis or nordic skis, but this rack is not suitable for downhill or backcountry skis.
