If you have a Safariland RDS holster you know the ears on the TLR-1HL thumbscrew can sometimes drag on the holster causing issues with drawing and holsters. This eliminates that issue. The earless screw is exactly the same as the eared version; the ears are milled off. Recommend you use a dime to tighten it. This screw should come with the TLR-1HL, but at least it's reasonably priced and high quality.

I have a universal holster for the range. The old screw with the ears would occasionally catch on the latch for the pistol retention. With this earless screw...the pistol always goes in nice and smooth.
