In general, pliers are my favorite tool, due to the tactile feedback you get from working with them. I have an entire drawer in my large toolbox, that's full of various pliers; easily over 50 pairs.I purchased the Strong hand Tools PG114V Pipe Pliers, to make into a base for a dial indicator set up, where I could clamp to irregular shapes. I tried them out this evening on the steering knuckle's vertical connection to the upper ball joint, and these pliers made a very solid attachment.The arms leading to the adjustable jaws are very strong and of adequate thickness to drill and tap for a snake-type dial indicator holder.These are a big win, and welcome addition to my pliers collection and I'm going to purchase a second, smaller set if they're available.Can't go wrong on these!!

These work well, I had to calmp 22" of 2-3/8" pipe up 9ft in the air and they had no problem holding the weight wheil I welded the pipes together.

Amazing idea, amazing clamps, in terms of quality.. they can do better of the materials used to make this clamp. The handle seems kind of flimsy and cheap. But to clamp pipe this is perfect and it has made my job much easier
