The cap on the expansion tank on my WRX failed so I replaced it with an OEM part. Typically for parts like this, I'd highly recommend staying with the Subaru OEM ones. OEM quality/reliability and typically cost a little bit more than an off brand or aftermarket piece. Comparing to a cheap rad cap you can buy at your local parts store, you'll notice that the cheap ones usually use thinner materials. For peace of mind, I usually go OEM especially for parts such as this one.

So it's a replacement for the original that came with the car 17 years ago - hopefully it'll last till the car dies.Screwed on tight, doesn't leak - OEM part.
