This hat is COMFORTABLE, LIGHTWEIGHT AND OFFERS A-LOT OF COVERAGEI own many hats and continually look for one that meets the needs I have for comfort, coverage, and ability to stay on my head in wind AND ATTRACTIVENESS. This hat checks all the boxes! I wore this hat today for 10 + hours. I could drive in the car without the annoying push back from the headrest. It gave me sun protection from the annoying sun at the side of the window. When I got out of the car to fill the tank and a huge wind gust blew it stayed securely on my head. There is an easy accessible clip on the back of hat that easily lets you adjust for higher wind and release so you can have comfort when not needed. I can walk for several hours wearing it and can hardly feel it on my head. Many other hats that offer these things look awful on my head . This hat looks great! I’m looking forward to using it as my primary boat hat this summer.Highly recommend

Best hat for sun protection. Well made and lightweight/foldable for travel. Was spotted by a guy in the airport who was wearing the same hat and we both agreed that this product is the BEST.

This hat has a feature that lets you back-fold it, which is handy even if you aren’t carrying a pack. Ironically, it was shipped to me folded the wrong way, so it arrived with a crease in the brim adjacent to the proper fold seam. Kind of sloppy given the careful folding instructions in the directions. If you don’t want a somewhat “v†shaped brim, it might bug you. Personally, I found it helped screen out peripheral glare, something I really came to appreciate while driving. My head did get a bit hot, but I was wearing it in pretty beastly heat. It is truly lightweight and, after nearly six weeks of use, I think it will be durable. Plus, the inner brim is adjustable, so it won’t shrink and end up snug if it gets doused in a downpour. So far, it has been a great purchase.

I had one for ober two years and lost it. No hesitation to get another one. It fits comfortably, is light and foldable in your back pocket. And it looks pretty good too. Good quality materials are used. Washable It has a few ways to secure to your head and the brim stays out where it should be. Highly recommended.

I love this hat. It's not the most stylish hat out there, but it is quite possibly the best sun hat you'll find in virtually every other respect. (And really, it's not like it's bad looking. Just maybe not as stylish as some alternatives.)I have used this for hiking, paddle boarding, and doing yard work and it has performed very well each time. It's super light and breathable and my head stays cool the entire time. Truly, it's something you can put on and forget you're even wearing it. I never had to take it off to wipe sweat away or let heat out, or anything like that.And of course, it protects me from the sun. I'm partially bald, and the hair I do still have is cut short, so my scalp has very little sun protection of its own. I need a hat that blocks the harmful UV rays. This hat has a UPF 50+ rating, so it's up to the task. What's amazing is that even the mesh ventilation areas are UPF 50+ rated. This means I don't have to worry about the sun getting through and burning a mesh pattern on my head. And yet, it's still super breathable. Best of both worlds.Also, the chin strap is great for keeping the hat secure when it's windy. Very important when you're on the water or hiking up high on a bluff.

Been using this hat for almost a year now and it’s excellent, the most functional sunhat I’ve owned. Packable while providing excellent shade and breathability.The Large/X-Large allows me to wear a lightweight beanie underneath for warmth, while the backstrap allows you to still secure the brim in the wind. Additionally you can tuck the end of the aft flip under the hat to stop it from flapping in the wind (while still providing some aft shade).Finally, this style of hat allows you to pull a hood up and over. My favorite discovery is how well it works with a rain jacket hood. The rain jacket hood keeps most of the breathable portion dry, while the wide brim keeps the rain off your face.

This hat lays flat for packing, is foldable, keeps sun off your neck and ears, doesn't hit your backpack on your back, and doesn't blow off in high winds (drawstring cord). I got the green "eucalyptus" colour which was good for camping as didn't show the dirt so much. Easy to handwash and dries quicky. Adjustable at rear. Looks a lot better than your average Legionnaire-style hat. sizing was true to measurements provided.Highly recommend!

Took this on a seven week trip to New Zealand and was very happy with it. It easily folds when not in use, the brim doesn't get distorted because it folds flat. The neck flap can be tucked up into the hat if not wanted. The neck cord was comfortable and held the hat firmly on my head in some very high winds on the coast. The brim appears to be waterproof and I actually wore this under my raincoat hood to keep the rain off my face a few times. Ventilated so not too hot in the sun. The hat easily rinses out in the sink if it gets grubby, and dries quickly and well. Recommended.
