This works perfectly. It allows me to plug it in to my iPad and then plug the power cable into it. Then I can use my USB device, which I have my movie library stored on, and watch as many movies as I want without worrying about my iPad battery needing to be charged. I couldn't ask for more, as it does what it is supposed to. The seller was quick to ship, and it arrived sooner than expected.

It's a good addition to doing photography and videography on me iPhone. We all know that iPhone never gives us enough storage. I don't like using the cloud. This is the perfect compromise. It works with small hard drives and even flash drives. It was a decent functional purchase. I recommend getting one if you have an iPhone that is less than 256 GB.

Great so far, purchased to connect an iPad to a dslr camera to make a Photo Booth. Works as advertised, able to charge the iPad while still being able to be hardwired to a dslr camera.

The charging/power port on this item is a Lightning port, not USB-C. The photo is correct. There are similar devices with a USB-C charging port. None of them are data ports. These devices mimic the Apple Camera adapter. It goes “in between†your regular charging cable and your phone, and gives you a USB-A port. So with this you can plug a device into the USB-A port and power it using whatever charger/cable setup you normally use. And the phone/pad charges at the same time. Perfect if that’s what you need. If you want to plug in a USB-C device, add a USB-A to USB-C adapter dongle. Data=USB-A port only. Having said all that, it works.

recently I have discovered the world of Apple lossless music with an external DAC/AMP fiio BTR5 and Fiio KA3 depending on my moods. The BTR5 can connect through AAC Bluetooth but the quality of music is not as high quality as wired through the USB camera port. Of course while using the USB camera port I needed to charge my phone simultaneously as I listen to music, thus this USB camera adapter with charging port. Just perfect for my use.

muy buena opción si requieres conectar DAC o dongle DAC al Iphone y sacarle el mejor provecho a los servicios de HI RES de música en Streaming, aparte que te permite cargar el Iphone al mismo tiempo , para que no te quedes sin baterÃa mientras lo usas con algún periférico, super recomendable!

I thought the adapter was going to be larger and heavier, but it turned out to be very small and light. It works for all iOS devices and ordinary USB, and I can charge my iPad at the same time. Although it’s a little bit expensive, it is way cheaper than the price on the Apple store. I like it and it’s useful.

Wanted something like this to move files out of my wife's iPhone when we are out and about. Worked as advertised with no issues. I was able to copy files to a 256 GB flash drive and charge the device at the same time on an IPhone 10 and 13.One thing to keep in mind with USB Flash drives and MicroSD cards; they need to be formatted in FAT32. They commonly come as NTFS and they wont work with the iPhone like this. At least not at the time of this review. I don't know for MAC but windows users can use a free program called "Guiformat" to perform this task. this limitation has nothing to do with the adapter but with the iPhone itself not supporting that format.

I didn’t want to pay for iCloud space and this little gadget is to replace that. I have a ubs 3.0 flash drive and backing up my photos on it was very fast. I can even charge it while I do that AND it’s half the price of the one you buy at the Apple Store. You don’t need a computer and you don’t even need wifi. I even bought a second one for my dad.
