I looked for the smallest, brightest, eyeball deck light I could find, and this was it. The top and base are cast aluminum which was important for modifications I needed to make. I drilled a hole in the base to mount a spike, filled in the top mounting holes and painted for a clean look, and sealed the base. None of this would have been possible without a good initial build quality.

These LCD lights replaced older incandescent lights that were round also. The old lights were open on the lower half and bees loved to build nests in the light. The new LCD models are covered and no insects can get in.The lights give out a soft non white glow that washes down. Everyone who sees them gives compliments.Very fair price and easy to install.
