Materials and construction excellent quality. The sensor activates to play selected tune/sounds when the child cries. A light turns on with the sounds. It can all be programmed to activate (or not) described items as you prefer. There are several sounds, including one that perhaps sounds like mom's heartbeat while the baby was waiting to be delivered, a gentle "shhh" sound, and a variety of others. Very nice. Would buy again. Worth the $.

Someone bought this magical sheep for my new baby. We’ve been using it since she was a day old and I have to say it’s my favorite gift to receive and give. My baby loves playing with its ears and going head to head to soothe herself to sleep. It’s not too loud or too soft. I use this sheep for naps and sleeping through the night. The pulsing red light is kind of creepy at night, but it’s to emulate in utero (and it’s quite effective). I only use the music+ heartbeat function, but it’s easy to switch it to different modes. I have a giant baby and it fit perfectly in her bassinet and now her crib. Must have IF you’ll use it.

By far our favorite baby tool so far. My 9 week old would struggle to stay asleep after we put her down for the night. We've been using Ewan and a nested bean sleep sack for a few weeks now and she went from maybe a 2-3 hours night cycle to a solid 4 hours after the first few days. Then one night she actually went 7 whole hours, we were blown away. We fully expected her not to sleep the next night but then she went about 6 hours that night. The weighted sack helps her relax and the sheep shushes her to sleep. The noise detection shushes her right back down if she wakes up before she actually hungry.My only issues with the sheep are that the buttons aren't visible from the outside. Its a bit of a pain to try and feel around for the right buttons, the velcro is too loud to open if baby is half asleep. Also the screw lock on the battery cover is unnecessary, it makes changing the batteries a much larger task than it needs to be. A clip battery cover would be sufficient. It also sometimes picks up the sound of our wall heater and kicks on, wasting the battery life. These three complaints are the main reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.Overall though its an amazing tool thats helping teach our daughter better sleeping habits and saving us from a lot of long nights soothing her back to sleep. Its not a miracle toy, but its worth the high price tag to finally help us adults sleep again.

I got this but my elderly dog who has been diagnosed with dementia. He likes to cuddle up to teddies so I thought this would be amazing. He listens to the sounds of the womb music. I love the fact it comes back on if he does bark they will continue to play. I think it will work well for when I need to go out so that he can have something that will calm him.
