  • Stainless Steel Sealed Ballbearing in the Windcup
  • Made in the USA

SWEN Products has been making weathervanes for 20+ years. We are a 2nd generation company that prides ourselves in making a quality product for a reasonable price. Each weathervane is laser cut out of steel, then welded by a team that has over 100+ years of combined experience. Each piece of the weathervane is powder coat painted with a antique copper vein paint for years of protection. The top of the weathervane pivots on a polished stainless steel pin. The wind cup anemometer has a sealed ball bearing that will spin with the slightest breeze.
Each weathervane is available in different mounts:
?Garden Stake consists of 2 poles that combine to make a pole made to add to your Garden
?Roof Mount is a V-Shaped plate along with a 15 inch pole that easily fits over the top of a A-Framed roof. Can be adjusted to any roof pitch
?Adjustable Mount consists of a 3 inch by 3 inch square plate that can pivot a full 90°. That flexibility allows this mount be used on deck railing, fence, or your roof fascia.
?Arrow top can be interchanged for the season. All arrow tops fit easily on any SWEN Products Weathervane. Great addition to your home to show your teams spirit during the season.

Love our dragon weathervane. Sturdy powder coated coppery finish. Easily installed on our garage roof. Blended nicely with copper lightning rod system. Works in the slightest breeze after greasing as per instructions. Reasonable price for quality product. Great dragon artwork! Other designs by Swen Products are really nice. Hard to choose between our dragon and the military designs! Whatever you choose you will be happy with this weathervane.

It's super cute and I really like it but it is not as sturdy as I had hoped for and while the ball cups do spin in the wind, the dragon does not actually Point towards the direction of the wind as I'd hoped

Apparently the traditional 27th anniversary gift is "statuary." Who knew? Got this for my husband, but truth be told, I got it because I liked it too. If it were just for me I would have gotten the witch on a broom weather vane this company offers. They have a lot of great choices. One for everyone. It came quicker than promised, great workmanship, looks exactly like the photos. I'm not sure yet how it will hold up outside, but I am expecting great things!

The neighbors were up in arms when I put it up on the garage roof...I mean "pitchforks and torches" up in arms. I wasn't swayed. I know I'm well within town building codes to have this thing up there. Just because they're scared is their problem. My efforts to convince my 6 yo daughter that it could really breathe fire, however, were in vain (get it? Vane?) so what's the problem with the neighbors? Who knows...they might be upset with how I park on the front lawn, or my late night howling...a tough call. But the weather vane seemed to have pushed some over the edge. It's their problem, not mine. The vane responds gently to the wind, the dragon pivots with ease...well worth the money. My only criticism is that it doesn't come in a 6ft size. It's well made.

I gave this product 3 stars because there was part of it missing when I received it. I contacted Amazon which transferred me to the distributor. I left a message with them about my concerns but still have not been contacted by them. Overall the product is sturdy (well made). I used my old mount from my previous weather vane to put the new one up. Not ideal but it worked.

It looks grand mounted to the corner of my roof which has no peak so the mounting piece included did me no good. In the plastic bag it came in there was a single, small ball bearing about the size of a bb and I had no idea where it went. So I got it lubed and put together and mounted on the roof and it turned easily when I pushed it with my finger, but not by the wind and it said it should move easily with the wind. So I called the customer service number included on a card with the weathervane and got to talk with an actual person who works at the company that makes these and lost of other types of weathervanes. I explained my problem to the man and asked about the bb ball bearing. Well the N-S-E-W goes on the roof mount and a screw locks it in place to match your compass directions, then the cups go on (rubber side down), and finally the dragon with the wind direction arrow fits over the stem. That final piece with the arrow has a hollow tube and it turns out that little bb goes into that tube and that's what allows the weathervane to spin freely (the cups spin with their own bearing).
