Just what we needed. It’s a wonderful weathervane. Well made. I would just suggest that you are careful choosing the correct hardware neede to install this in your cupola. It took me a few tries! It’s all together now and looks great!

I love the look of this weathervane, it’s been up for about six months and it does faithfully point into the wind, although I will say it takes a slightly stronger breeze to move it than the old one it replaced. Not much of an issue, less surface area to catch the breeze, just mentioning it. I’m starting to see a little patina on it, I look forward to seeing it age well.

These are beautiful well made fully functional wind vanes. Easy to assemble. As to mounting, I had the roofing guys who were putting my new roof on do that. It looked pretty easy. Really can't go wrong with these. I expect it to last a lifetime. The eagle is made of copper which will turn into a darker patina as it ages and is weathered. Not as shiny, but still beautiful.

I purchased the Eagle Cottage Weathervane from Good Directions for the cupola on top of our gazebo. It looked large on the ground but is the perfect size when sitting on the cupola. It is well made with good detail in the copper stampings. I did not use the roof mount bracket since the cupola manufacturer recommended using a metal rod that would extend into a support bracket inside the cupola structure. Sean Hughes at Good Directions provided excellent service answering all my questions and sending me the internal mounting rod. Have had many compliments and looking forward to it aging to a nice green patina.

You can tell that Good Direction take pride in their product, weathervane is perfectly balanced , spin’s freely and looks fantastic. I look at it several times throughout the day and am so proud to own such a beautiful weathervane.

Build quality could be better. N/S srew snapped off as I was trying to tighten it, due to the fact that it was not sitting level. Soft brass screws?

Love it, I placed it on my garage and it really pops. I chose to keep it shiny as it looks great with the sun glinting off it. In order to prevent patina and it going green and tarnished looking I put a special coating on it. The instructions for mounting the small ball in the middle is too long, when I tried to move it took some effort to move it. I lowered the small ball till it just cleared the Nth West etc direction table portion and it spun freely. Other than that, great product, well worth the price.
