I’ve purchased several of these over the years. Not because they’re not durable but rather to give as gifts. They’re among the highest quality of any I’ve used. The frame is durable, lightweight aluminum making it resistant to corrosion from harsh pool chemicals. The pliable nylon net is fine yet durable as li by as you remove it from the pool and rinse it after use (you should be this anyway) and keep it out of direct sunlight. Highly recommended.

Would have given 5 stars if the net had an easy on and off pole attachment button. Otherwise it's a well made pool net.

This Swimline 8028 Premium Aluminum Leaf Skimmer is a winner, looks and feels like the one we have been using 10+ years. Our previous aluminum leaf skimmer is still usable but finally the net is ripping on both sides so last year we purchased a new pole and a couple “plastic†leaf skimmers, what was I thinking getting plastic, I just cheaped out, stupid. I am hoping this new aluminum leaf skimmer last as long as the previous aluminum one. It fits into the new pole easily and does not turn/spin while in use. It is lightweight and using it with a lightweight pole makes it easy to hold and maneuver. I paid a few dollars more than the inferior plastic ones and got a product that is so much better I would pay three times more.*Note the attached picture is one of the plastic skimmers as a word of warning, don’t bother buying.

It is good for the price. It is NOT for "screw on" stick/ends. So, that is unfortunate. However, used it without the stick just fine. I find using a broom to brush the bottom leaves up really helps.As far as quality, 4/5 stars. But, price and use make it 5/5. Definitely cannot be too rough with it--when I say rough, I mean banging or smacking it against something to get the leaves off of it. The mesh is already starting to come apart on a little area (barely noticeable), and I have only used it twice. But, I think it is because I would bang it against my broom stick to get the leaves out of the mesh. Not sure, though. So, I just say be delicate if you can.Overall, it works great, though! Gets not only leaves out, but also spiders, beetles, and even dog hair!

This is a high quality skimmer net. The aluminum frame is durable, and I like how the curved edges make it easy to sweep along the bottom of the pool to pick up debris. It's nicely sized too. After 8 months of almost daily use, this skimmer net is still like new. I bought another one to hold on to as a spare!

The size is fine. It is for light top skimming only. The handle (made from plastic) that attaches to the pole is very weak. It bends when using if I accidentaly go a few inches below the water. I anticipate that it will break soon. Perhaps it should have a longer nozzle?
