I have a 30’ flag pole which I have illuminated so I can fly my American flag 24x7x365… before the purchase I had used a white plastic connectors for the flags to the lanyard that I had to replace every three or so years (salt water is hell on plastic). I have had these now a month and they are doing a good job. I will interested for how they stand the test of time but so far nothing to complain about and they have withstood a 60mph Nor’estah!

Appears to be good quality. Snap works smoothly and is heavy.

These bolt snaps are heavy duty! They held my reel and my backup light on my BCD while diving. The stainless material seems like it will protect it for many years. I mainly dive in fresh water, so I expect them to last.

The flags do get to flow in the wind.

I got these specifically for scuba diving since that's one of the uses advertised in the product listing and I was pleasantly surprised about how well these perform. I've used them on four dives so far, one of which had lots of sand suspended in the water due to surge conditions and the gate mechanism still functions perfectly with no sign of being fouled by the sand. I did, of course, give it a good rinse after each dive to help clear out any residual sand and salt.Granted, four dives over a couple of weeks doesn't really test its longevity, but they do appear to be marine grade and of decent quality. If over time, they do start to degrade in some way, I'll come back here to update the review.Bottom line: pretty good quality boltsnaps that have, so far, held up in diving conditions good and bad.

These clamps are expertly crafted from stainless steel and are versatile for various applications. I've noted that they shouldn't be utilized for safety belts since they aren't designed for such purposes. I've discovered that the locking components can be slightly offset and impose a risk of the rope can be failing off. I am pretty sure for non-critical or non-safety connections, these clamps are sufficient enough.

I got these hooks for my horse reins, rather than for a flag pole. Whatever use you have for them, they work great. They swivel smoothly and easily. They seem sturdy enough for horse reins so I’m sure they’d work fine on a flag pole too. The swivel feature is handy to have and makes them very versatile.

My dog, Zoe, is better known in our household as Houdini. She’s a master at escaping her crate. She figured out how to push up the latches and open her crate door, making it a problem for us to leave the house. We tried tying them closed, but she chewed through the ties and still opened the door. Then I tried using the clips to her leashes to clip the latches closed, but they were a bit too small and hard to hook on correctly. Then I saw these and decide to give them a try. They work great. They are extra-large and very sturdy. It’s easy to clip them onto the latches of the crate and prevent her from being able to open them. She’s not very happy about it, but I’m thrilled. Houdini has been foiled, at least for now.
