This will work fine if you’re sewing on thin leather or materials. I couldn’t use this for outsole stitching because the handle couldn’t hold the needle when I pull it out of the outsole. Outsole in this case is a hard rubber Vibram, so it could just be the super solid outsole that makes the tool looks underperformed.

String always breaks when using the needle. Not sure if the string is of bad material or the needle has sharp ends that cuts it.
