I was so surprised with what all u get in this and the quality. The bottles are good size and glass! Nice set for a great price! Will purchase again.

The valve oil is too thin and doesn’t lubricate well enough especially if you play your trumpet in the heat or cold, outside element

I got this set mainly for the valve oil which works very well in my testing the last couple of months. I have always used the standard Cass valve oil because of how it outperforms nearly everything else I've tried. I am pleasantly surprised to say that this Danchet oil works just as well. The glass bottle makes me a little nervous about dropping and breaking is probably okay. The eyedropper application, though not my favorite method to apply valve oil, works well with maybe a few more unintentional drips. The rest of the cleaning kit seems fairly cheaply made with the bristles not stiff enough to clean thoroughly but I count them as bonus items. Get this kit for the inexpensive, but perfectly functional valve oil.

I like the applicator. And it works the best of any of the slide lubes I've ever used. Worked on extremely tight slides on one of my trumpets so that they're as smooth as any of my horns. I love this stuff!

I have been a trumpet player for many years so have collected several brass instruments from trumets to flugel horns to euphoniums. Like every brass player, I have been on the mouthpiece safari and prospecting for oil. Brass horn oil can sometimes be quite stinky and smell like the petrolium products they are derived from. Also, most oils I have used in the past evaporate and don't last very long. This is why I like synthetics. This oil is a synthetic and very little smell to it. When I breathe in, I don't want a caughing fit in the middle of a solo. Also synthetics tend to last longer which means more time playing than oiling and I don't have to worry, too much, about valves sticking. The first thing I did with this oil is take my Olds Ambassador practice trumpet and my Bach Strad and clean the valves and oil them. This oil comes in a glass bottle with an actual eye dropper style applicator. No more squeezing the bottle just right to get a single drop or two. With this, it is easy to apply oil as much or as little as you need. I also used it on the thrid valve slide. So far, the valves and the slides are working perfectly. Time will tell how long it actually lasts. I will report back wth a time usage. The viscosity of the oil is thin and the valves respond very well. Because of this, it should work well with new instruments with close tollerances. Even with my older Olds, it seems to work quite satisfactorily.
