This shackle is 1/4-inch by 12.5 inches (7 mm x 320 mm) long and makes a loop about 4 inches (102 mm) in outside diameter (exactly as pictured). There is a small cord attached to the main cord; this assists in opening the loop to pass the knot through. Gives more room than a metal shackle (for attaching a recovery strap) yet is easier to pass through the metal tie-down point on my Miata. It seems sturdy, though I haven't used it yet.
