Molly bolt anchor.
Step one:
Drill a hole with the same diameter as the molly bolt.

Then hammer it in until it sits flush with the wall. (make sure that you hammer it in all the way so that these teeth can do their job.)

Unscrew the screw that’s pre-installed onto the molly bolt until it’s completely out.When you’re ready to mount or hang something, re-install the screw by driving it back in.

Molly Bolts Anchors:
- Have a holding power of 25 to 55 pounds.(Depending on size.)
- Require a pre-drilled hole.
- Have a permanently attached shank, but the screw can be removed.
- May be used in ceiling drywall for lightweight items, such as smoke alarms.
Hollow wall anchors.
These types of anchors also expand as the screw is tightened and driven into the cavity.

This Tool is amazing and simple to use, if you've ever tried installing drywall anchors with little to no success, this bolt tool is the answer to your problems, great assortment of bolts, & hooks, nice carry all case. Anyone who gives a bad review for this item is terribly unqualified to work with hand tools. Drill a hole just smaller than the bolt, tap the bolt in flush, unscrew the head until it fits snugly in the tool, squeeze the handle and it forms the casing to the inner drywall while keeping the outer bolt casing flush to the wall, remove the screw and mount whatever permanently.

As a 73 year old Engineer, I've used HUNDREDS of molly bolts in my jobs, and at home. To be blunt, this tool is a waste....in order for it to function as demonstrated I'd have to have a grip that would rival Superman's!!!! The easy way to install molly bolts is (1) Locate and drill the hole for the molly bolt. (2) Back off the screw about 1/4" and load into the 'tool'. (3) Insert the molly bolt all the way into the hole and clamp down on the 'tool' handle to 'set' the molly bolt in the wall. (4) Remove the 'tool', and using a Phillips screwdriver, tighten up the screw until the molly bolt flange head recedes somewhat into the wall. (5) Completely remove the screw and use to attach whatever you installed the molly bolt for. Molly bolts themselves are a good buy, hence the 4-star rating.

I didn't know products like this existed, I had always put this style of wall anchor in by power driver usually stripping the screw head. This is a great item; I would recommend it for any homeowner or handy man. This sells itself, people I have shown have went out and bought one for themselves.

First off, I’ll say I prefer this type of drywall hanger over the flimsy plastic alternatives. When installed correctly, they are rock solid. The install tool is handy, way better than just screwing them in all the way and backing them out afterwards. One thing to take into account when using the install tool, go slow. Have the head of the screw out just enough to fit into the top of the tool, give it a light pump, screw the head of the screw in a little bit with your fingers and then repeat the process until it feels sturdy, don’t over do it. I’ve had a couple of the screws break in the wall by going quick and fast. So, if you’re careful, these work great. I’d still recommend them.

Used Hollow wall mounts before but they twisted when tightening and didn't line up well for removing and reinserting screws.This tool solved those problems.

Great idea, I prefer it over the inserts that you use the screw to engage the clamps since they tend to spin out and damage the surface. This tool allows you to crimp the inserts and then remove the bolt to attach whatever. It is not hard to crimp into sheet rock as someone mentioned- infact you need to practice to ensure you don't over crimp and squeeze the sheetrock so hard that you damage the attaching area. It would be a good idea to include washers with the kit since the heads of the bolts/ screws is pretty small for most things you might be attaching. Good price, got it quickly, would buy again.
