I bought this just for the clips as my original latch works fine. I figured I would eat the cost of the entire latch JUST for the clips. The problem is the clips don’t work! The diameter is too small for the push rods. If your clips are good and you can reuse them it might work for you. If you need the clips you are out of luck. I even try to use a round file and make the clip fit but even then they don’t hold. They are selling a product they know doesn’t work. Should be a crime!! DO NOT BUY!!

Bought this to replace the bent one on my 1995 B2300. It works fine but I could not get the plastic clips to close around the threaded rods that retract the latches. Luckily I was able to pull them off and reuse the clips from the stock one. Subtracting one star for that.

It does say that it’s fits and yes it fits in the holes but not in the original hardware like the two links that unlock the door or gate

Yellow molded tabs would not close to hold shafts. DIY'd problem and fixed for who knows how long by heating up bolt w/ torch for a few moments to melt into plastic so that tabs would close and bolt threads would stay. Rest of product is appears to be same as OEM.

handle mountsin place, but rods that attach will not work they are to small,had to buy different ones,81 thru 97 f150 .f250,f350??

This Tailgate Actuator works good. The only issue I have is the Plastic Tabs are TOO SMALL for the Rods !!! Now I have to Fab up something Myself in order for the Rods to Connect to the Actuator...

They are horrible!! The worst part I ever purchased from Amazon. I wouldn’t even rate it one star. The latch is the only thing good so far, only one day using it. We’ll see how it goes after a few months

Plastic clamps wouldn't clip onto the rods that release the tailgate. I had to Jerry rig them to work.
