The small line valve does not completely shut off. The big line is for air and small line is for alcohol. The alcholol drips even when valve is tightly shut off. I have to raise nozzle when not in use or it will continue to drip.

I needed a mist system for turning and milling stainless to keep the bits cool so they would last longer and this one was just the trick. Came with everything I needed to connect the lines and I connected a small compressor to it to push the coolant. Adjusting the mist can be a bit tricky at first, but not that big of a deal. I have the same system on both of my mills and my lathe. Just consider it insurance for those expensive mill and lathe bits.

I got this mister for use when machining hard metals on my 9" South Bend lathe. I initially tried it with a small compressor that came with an air brush. That didn't have enough volume to start siphoning coolant. I made a fitting that allowed me to connect it to my shop compressor. Once done, the mister works as one might expect. The workmanship looks OK and the mist nozzle stays positioned well. As I mentioned previously the price and quality seem competitive for devices of this type.
