I bought this 100 pack because I bought a 10 pack thinking it was enough but I broke 5 of them on my first project (knife sheath of my own design) and figured I'd been a bunch more if they flex and break as much as they did. I've bought some "sail needles" that have a point on them to see if they'll hold up better as they are made of carbon steel and feel much more stout than these needles.Also these needles have no sharp point on them by design because it's not meant for sewing but for running it through holes you punch with an awl or another method.

Sewing a holster tonight and only made it through two belt loops. I broke almost 20 needles. These are not Tandy leather needles. I've used Tandy needles purchased directly from a Tandy store (brick and mortar location) for years and never had issues like this. These are cheap pot metal.Update: I went to the brick and mortar Tandy locally and bought a 100 pack of these needles. I sewed and entire sheath and mag carrier last night with the 1st 2 needles from this pack. Confirms my suspicion that the ones ordered from amazon were not true Tandy needles or for benefit of the doubt on the sellers part, the batch they are selling were not properly manufactured.
