I haven't had the chance to use it much, but I am happy with the item based on the time I did use it.It's sturdy, yet lightweight with a handle that makes it easy to move when not in use.

As a dancer (retired? yet who really retires), this kind of floor coverage has been a "dream" to tap dance on for as long as I can remember. The sound of my taps against the floor is great. The board does cover a good area to do dance exercises. The floor is heavy, sturdy and well made. This floor is a great addition to my home as it has now brought me hours of enjoyment. I leave this floor covering in one place on the my home's floor so moving it has proven to be no real issue. Sturdy for tapping and some floor exercises of stretch or even has been fun to use for ballet practice too. For me, it is worth it.

I have never tapped before but have to for a musical I am in coming up soon, so I was freaking out about finding a space to practice outside of rehearsals as my house has either carpeting or cheap old laminate flooring that I have tore in a couple spots already just moving things around. This dance floor/tap board was the perfect solution. I have no concerns as a 6'4 255lb amateur tapper that I am being supported on this tap board, and it allows me to flap ballchange and paradiddle to my hearts content. Hopefully there is good vitality to this board, but with my limited use I think it will last quite a while!

And this one is really nice quality too! It's light weight for it's size and easy to move with the builtin handle. It would be nice if sturdy carry straps/case were included too!If you have kids in tap dance classes this is just a must have for them to practice, to save your floors and your sanity LOL! Set this up anywhere inn the basement, a quiet room that can be closed off in the house, on a patio/porch... they can put on their own dance recital at home or take it Grandma/Grandpa's house!I got it in the lighter oak color, it also comes in the much darker walnut and then black too. It's really nice looking and sturdy. Only time/use will tell how it holds up.Regular price $99.99 per the listing and there's a $15.00 off coupon right now! Looking at other listings I find this to be a great price for the size/quality of this dance board!As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. This tap floor is super slippery. It is a plywood platform that has a plastic laminate top. I think it would have been better if they had made it an actual wood surface instead of faux. The floor is a good way to protect floors you don't want damaged with tap shoes.

The Good:- excellent floor protection- very stable and solidly made- good consistent tone across the entire surface- good foam padding underneath, providing good traction and zero wobbleThe Less Good:- heavy, with only a single hand carry hole- surface is slippery (plastic laminate, not wood)- no storage/transport bag- big, so finding somewhere to store it can be tricky

I have laminate and polished concrete floors in my home so tapping on them is a no-no. This is a very strong, rather heavy cushioned floor that I can tap on instead. It amplifies the sound of the taps when I use it on my concrete floor. There is foam all the way to the edges and on the corners so there were no unstable spots. My only complaint is that there is a portion in each side where there is no foam and that feels a little weaker than the rest of the board.This is also a large board, so finding a storage place was a little tricky as under the bed (which would have been perfect) wasn't an option for me.
