These lights work as described. Each one takes three AAA batteries, which are easy to change out. The light twists to open to allow a battery change. I brought some of these on a camping trip as they were small enough to put by a sleeping bag and easy to turn on. They are quite bright for the size, and the light is on the cool side. I recommend these as they are useful, small lights to have on hand for camping, power outages, or even to light up an area with no outlets.
