With the same few stanzas of "careless whisper" pounding through my ear canals for hours a day, I desperately searched for sanity. My teenage boy and his saxophone have become the soundtrack for my daily churn. In a brief, very brief, quiet reprise of sanity, I found this item on Amazon. While I can still hear the theme repeating over and over(I think??), it doesn't not resonate through the entire house as it did once before.Thank you for a small gift. The only thing to improve this item, would be a few pair of foam disposable ear plugs!

I should have read the reviews before hitting the buy it now button. One star is too many- why can’t I rate it a zero. It does not reduce the sound of a saxophone. Shame on the manufacturer and seller for a terrible product. Believe my words: do not buy this mute. Buyer beware

Its made out of a really really cheap plastic, so there's no reason it should be 9+ dollars. Also barely mutes my sax. only like 10-15%. Most likely will be returning this.

This does not mute the sound very much for my beginning sax player. In my three story home the sound is just as loud as it was before.

This product is very cheap in quality, but beyond this...it simply does not work. Not even a little. No difference in sound level at all. Do not buy this product.

El material es un plástico de baja calidad, la pintura se levanta y no logra la función para lo que esta siendo vendido. Mala compra, no la recomiendo.Envió sin problemas gracias a que Amazon se encarga de ello.

However, in terms of volume reduction and muting, it is very very subtle. Definitely does calm some tones down. However, it doesn't do a very good job overall to reduce the volume It's just ... Meh
