I already own the Rogue Flat Utility Bench 2.0, but I needed a second quality bench in order to perform bench dips. The TDS Flat Bench seems just as durable. I don't have a wobble with either bench. Side by side, the metal looks and feels the same. You can tell it's 3x2 11-gauge steel. This is important when using heavier weights. What I will say is that the end of the TDS bench seat hangs off. Don't use heavy weights there.As for assembly, it's more complicated than it seems. The TDS Flat Bench only has eight bolts. However, the two longer bolts for the bench seat were difficult to line up with the center base arch's screw holes. Even with a flashlight, I was struggling to find the screw holes. It was easier to assemble it with the legs up in the air and the seat on the floor.More importantly, the screw holes at the bottom of the center base arch should have been about 1/10 of an inch below than where they are. With mine, it means when you attach the center base arch to the wide feet and drop it all the way down, the screws will not line up with the holes. I'd say it's off by about 1/5 of an inch. Although it's not a big deal to me, I do wonder if this makes the bench a bit weaker.

While creating my home gym due to the pandemic, I ordered this bench.It is about 4" taller than competition height but I wasn't too concerned because of the price. I just needed something to get me through until gyms open. If you are a competitive powerlifter or a larger person, this bench will not have the same specs you are used to and it's a little shorter in length that a competition bench. We put it together, put the box out with the recycling and then I went to use it to bench a few days later only to find that it is extremely wobbly. I am unable to use it at all without putting a shim under 2 of the feet. Contacted the seller and sent photos/ video. They acknowledged the defect and said I could return it but they couldn't offer a replacement due to not having anymore in stock. Problem is, I have no way to return it since the box was trashed. I can't order a new bench and use that box because they are all out of stock. Waiting on a resolution from the seller.

This is a nice bench and well worth it for the cost. It was easy to assemble and seems sturdy. I recently gave my old commercial grade flat bench away because I wanted something new and clean for inside the house. This will do great for my needs. I think this bench will take heavy weight, but I wouldn’t use it if I was to go over 100lbs dumbbells.
