I love this bag. It arrived right on time, decently packed. It did have a little plastic-y odor, but not as bad as I feared, and a few hours out on the clothesline in the sun cleared almost all of it. (It lost the rest over the next couple of weeks.) Even though I read the dimensions before ordering, the bag is larger than I expected, but I wanted the roominess, and the seller gave accurate measurements. I wanted a big bag! The reason I gave it 4 stars under "For Traveling" is it really is large, making it awkward in a crowded or narrow area (such as a train, bus, or plane, or at an event). It does not fit easily next to my legs in the car (even in the front) or even in an SUV. HOWEVER, it has so much thoughtfully laid out storage space inside and out that it is probably the ONLY project bag you will need to take, saving room and hassle. There is storage in the clear lid (this model also has an opaque lid that zips closed over the clear one, which is definitely worth the extra $20.) Below this, there are 5 compartments for yarn, and a larger storage compartment (for projects or more yarn), which are each sewn to the bottom of the case, so items stay where you put them, and will not slide out underneath into another area. Another nice feature is the smooth gromits (6 small, 2 large) in the clear inner lid, above the yarn compartments; handy if you are doing stranded knitting (or just want to keep your yarn in the bag while knitting). There is an open pocket on each exterior end. There is a large zippered pocket across the front of the bag, with several handy storage features in it: elastic loops for hooks/needles/pens (9 larger and 6 smaller) above a shallow pocket to keep the items from slipping out; a long, open pocket; and a vertical, zippered pocket. There is another large, zippered pocket on the back of the bag. The bag can be carried with the handles, or using the shoulder strap, which is adjustable and has a shoulder pad. The whole thing is sturdy and constructed with care and forethought. When traveling, there is room for a tablet or light laptop (the bottom of the inside of the bag is padded!), phone, e-reader, book, magazine, your yarn and supplies, and, if your project is not too big, you could even store a change of clothing and some toiletries in the project compartment, making a separate carry-on bag unnecessary. I do not know if a full bag will fit in an airplane overhead storage area - you'd need to measure it after you pack it, and compare it to the specific airline's guidelines. I bought this because I am knitting a series-accurate Dr Who scarf, which requires 7 colors of yarn (I have 2 skeins of each color). I needed a project bag with room for all that yarn, a few accessories, my pattern, and a project storage area large enough to hold a 12-foot scarf. This bag provides all that, and more!

I have only just received this item so my review is based off of a short period of time, should anything change ill come back and add an edit. I have crocheted, and knit for many years and purchased this for long term large projects.This bag is surprisingly roomy. If using store bought skeins of yarn you can fit 6 in the spaces provided, each pulling through the holes for clean and secure work. If you use yarn that you are winding into cakes, you can fit two in each slot, although pulling them both through would not be as easy, it would be more for storage of a second cake in the same color below the one being used.My favorite part is the project pocket that sits behind the yarn, its so convenient to slip your project in when on the go. The only negative I see is the snaps are a little weak. They pull open a little too easily for my liking. Regardless, its unlikely to cause any problems that I can forsee.The rest of the pockets are wonderful. I can store a tablet and the pattern together in the back pocket, which is zippered.I use the side pockets less because the tops are open, one side has a velcro strap but when I'm on the go I can slip my phone and wallet on one side and a notions tin or bag on the other.The front pocket has great storage for additional notions directly related to the project. It would be specifically suited for a crocheter for storage of hooks. But I can store pens and other items in those straps if my project is knitting. The additional space is still very welcome for additional storage of small scissors, stitch markers and anything else.It has both hand straps and a long shoulder strap. The shoulder strap can be unclipped and removed if preferred but for anyone who likes to travel with your projects and work on the go it is perfect. The shoulder strap has a nice should padding too in case your project is a little heavy.Overall, this would be a perfect gift for someone who crochets, still very useful for anyone who knits and absolutely wonderful for anyone who does both. I highly recommend it for anyone who needs the organization for their projects. It beats any single tote bag or open drawstring.

I got this as a gift and she found it very handy to travel with the current project she was working on. Lots of room for storing needles and small supplies and quite a bit of yarn. I didn't get the largest bag and sort of wish I had but it still works out well. The larger bag may be next! The bag quality is nice and because of the shape it was easier to pack in a vehicle on a road trip.

I removed the top shelf of my wheeled metal cart and the tote fits perfectly in the middle shelf. I have three ‘works in progress’ in the tote, crochet hooks, patterns, etc. and lots of room to spare. Everything I’m working on is in one place and looks tidy. Easy to grab and go for road trips, etc. Very happy with this purchase.

Diese Tasche ist einfach nur klasse. Es passt alles rein Wolle Nadeln Häkeln. Nadeln sämtliches Zubehör. Die Tasche ist sehr gut verarbeitet sehr kompakt und die geht jetzt mit auf Reisen. Das war eine sehr gute Investitionen kann ich nur sehr wärmstens empfehlen.

Terrific bag for my crochet projects which use up to eight different colours. Keeps everything together and organised and easy to transport. Not the cheapest option perhaps but perfect for the job so well worth it!
