This is bigger and heavier than I imagined or would need for myself but it’s impressive! I bought it because my promaster van group recommended and I liked the hook option to help me get on top of my van’s roof and back down. It seems very sturdy and I like that the hooks can spin so I can use them to hang the ladder in my van or a garage for home use. The hooks are also removable and the product comes with two extra locking mechanisms should one on the ladder break. Another nice feature is that each step locks so you could use it at 3, 5, 7 feet without extending the whole ladder. It collapses rung by rung so no need to worry about smashing fingers. It holds 330lbs and feels very sturdy. I chose this ladder vs a fixed ladder on the van because those cost around $700 and I wont need it for daily use. I spent about $93 which was higher than I wanted but for a sturdy and versatile ladder I’m happy. I chose the black finish because it’ll match my van better and hopefully hook nicely to my roof rack once that is installed.

I have been searching for quite awhile for a compact ladder that would store easily and not bump into walls and furniture when moving it around the house or garage. This ladder was a perfect fit for those needs. It is quite easy to extend and stores very nicely on my slat wall. This particular ladder is the 10.5' version and easily allows me to access up to the top of my 9' ceilings. Fully collapsed, with the removable hooks attached, it is only 36" high and weighs a mere 18 pounds.The instruction manual is adequate, but your best instruction is to actually start using the ladder. The locking clips snap into place as they should but I would recommend you making sure you confirm that they are latched before climbing it. I found that you don't have to have all the sections extended to use it. My pictures show this.When collapsing the ladder, start from the lowest sections first. The instructions mention this, but it isn't immediately obvious why until you try it for yourself. Make sure you are supporting the upper sections and gently lower them when you release the locks... and keep your hands out of the way! The upper section that you are collapsing can come down quickly if you're not supporting it.Overall I'm very happy with it.

Bought this as a temporary solution for my tiny house which didn't include a ladder. Wondering if I should just keep using it because it works so well!! It collapses so I can store it in a closet, is sturdy enough to hold me as I climb up 9 or 10 feet, and the hooks up top and padding on the bottom are ideal for keeping it from scooting around.The reason why I rated four stars is because collapsing the ladder is quite scary -- I recommend putting it on its side on the floor/ground and using one foot and one hand to push the clasps in, and the second hand to push the rungs towards you. This is easiest when you have a wall or something sturdy to push the feet against.

For quite a while now, I've contemplated relocating my spare tire to the roof basket. The question has always been though, how do I get it down if ever needed? The answer of course, is with this ladder. Not only can I easily slide the tire up the frame of the ladder and into the basket, but I can slide it back down even easier (thanks to gravity!). The ladder is nice and sturdy, and it's a perfect fit for not only the basket on my Explorer, but also for the roof platform of my CX-50 Meridian Edition. And I love how easy it is to collapse and store away in the rear cargo area.

Likes- Solid RV ladders for both interior and exterior (8ft purchase) for 10 ft tall trailer. Non slip. Hooks a must if using for bunks. Hooks come off or turn for a flat wall. 8ft works as a 4ft inside and doubles for outside. Like locking velcro strap. Travels upright, attached to bunk over very bumpy roads and stays put. Love it for kids and husband is 210lb, felt he could stand on it. Seemed sturdy. Wouldn’t tell him to go higher then 5-6ft.Dislikes- Can pinch fingers if you do not read directions or see “picturesâ€. Lay it sideways before putting down or you WILL PINCH OR SLAM fingers. Adults should raise and lower. As an adult, I also almost slapped them between rungs even knowing it would happen. The release buttons are quick. You can’t react. And the slam is fast. ALWAYS LOWER WHILE SIDEWAYS WITH TWO PEOPLE. Practice slowly. Secure with strap.But I really like it, It is not a toy. Super sturdy. Would buy again.

The ladder is great in concept, but there’s room for some improvements. The steps should be able to be locked at closed at any setting. Right now you can’t lock them closed so the bottom step is always open to be pulled out accidentally. It’s deceptively heavy also, but that’s not a bad thing, adds to the stability I feel like. Could also use a better carrying method, but the gets the job done

Got this ladder to climb up into my attic without having to bang up the walls and furniture with my big ladder. Works like a charms, easy to use and climb. My a bit over 200 lbs and it holds me up well. Would recommend. The hooks on it are a plus.

Me llegó antes en perfecto estado. Fue muy fácil desplegarla. Soy una persona mayor y sola asà que es el producto ideal para mi porque es liviana y ocupa muy poco espacio. Recién me mudé a un departamento muy pequeño con solo una habitación, pero tiene un ático que es la solución para hospedaje de una visita que espero para los dÃas de navidad. Los ganchos que tiene me decidieron a preferirÃa sobre otras parecidas pues le dan firmeza y seguridad para una persona que como yo no tiene a otra para que le tenga la escalera por si llegara a resbalar. Viene también con unos guantes para proteger las manos por si se equivoca y no sigue las instrucciones para manipular la escalera. En mi caso la desplegué muy fácil solo halé cada escalón y éstos fueron desplegándose y asegurándose automáticamente. Tal vez cuando haga la operación inversa y la vaya a guardar los use. Trae también un par de seguros de repuesto. Debo confesar que un buen rato me devané los sesos pensando dónde irÃan ese par de piezas hasta que lo deduje. Es ka mejor compra que he hecho en mucho tiempo. Ya la usé y se siente muy firme. Espero poner mandar una foto, lo he estado intentando en vano. Antes de decidirme por este producto investigué en esta y en otras escaleras todas las opiniones. La recomiendo abiertamente en especial si eres una persona sola y vulnerable.Como ven el tamaño de 2.60 fue el ideal ni sobra, ni falta, como dice: "ni mandada a hacer "

I ended up LOVING this ladder, but... I didn't get all of the answers I hoped for before buying. So, here are the things I would have wanted to know first:- the DEPTH of each step is 1.5"- the WIDTH of the widest part of the ladder (bottom support piece) is 18.25"- the ladder feels super sturdy- the hooks can be turned front or back. Because they can be turned to the back, I don't have to display all of the stickers in the room when someone wants to use the loft. The ladder can be turned around.- the "extra steps" (when you don't require it to be extended fully) don't have to sit at the bottom. They can be anywhere. The picture shows them at the top, which is where they will be for the loft bed.- I gave 5-stars for light-weight even though it isn't really light. If it were lighter I'd be afraid it wasn't quite so sturdy, so that isn't a factor for me... I think the weight is just right.There were many aluminum ladders, but I really wanted black so that it would match the accents in the room it will go in. This is a nice satin black finish. I'm super pleased with my purchase! It went on sale for prime days and I couldn't resist. Will post again if it doesn't end up living up to expectations... but for now I think it's perfect for our new high loft ladder.(P.S. The area the picture shows isn't its' final place.)
