Got this to hopefully reduce static buildup when playing records and wow does it deliver! Static is basically a thing of the past for me now. I never hear it when I flip records over anymore which in turn has also eliminated any pops I used to hear when playing records due to static.I went for the clear colored one and it looks cool. Really lets my colored vinyl pop more than the black mat that I replaced. I'm thinking I may look for a white one though so I don't see the platter underneath with the openings where the belt is located. But regardless of how it looks it is doing the job I purchased it for in the first place.**NOTE** If you're going for this type of platter mat then I STRONGLY suggest you get a record weight/clamp if you don't already have one. The mat is very slick.And at $20 you can't really go wrong. I know that an all acrylic platter is the best way, but when you have a vintage table like I do that wont allow for a completely different platter, this is the way to go.

This Thing is Amazing, had a felt disc that always came up with my records soo in search of a rubber one; I found this Beautiful Blue Disc that stays put and creates a Solid Platform for playing Records...Note: It really stands out under a "Black Light" as shown on picturesAbove; Edge is Amazing!!!

Our turntable came with a clear base with a black felt mat. It covered up the clear base so I purchased this clear mat. Looks and sounds great.

Overall I'm sure this slip mat is great for professional-grade turntables/stereos, however for the more economical units like the Victor, Victrola, Crosby, etc. simply don't have enough motor power to spin up very well with this as it's surprisingly HEAVY. Heavier than a 180 gram LP for certain. Would only recommend if you have an expensive unit or something with more direct motor control.

The first one I got was a different brand it had a really really big hole in the middle and it flopped around the yellow looks great and the hole is perfect on my Sony turntable you can tell the base is tighter and the highs are higher I like everything.I like the yellow it goes good with black.

Product is well made. I really didn’t notice a change in audio sound. But it looks cool as long as it works to control static I’m happy. Make some acid glow in the dark ones, it will be much more cool. But as far as sounding better I doubt it.
