Most difficult obstacle was opening the packaging. This capo is clear, well made, heavy duty, easy to use, easy to slide, great fit, easy to put on, easy to take off. Sound is so sweet and clear, no buzz; at all. It is expensive, yes it is but I learned early in life you usually get what you pay for. Buy several or buy one. Buy Thalia.

The workmanship is beautiful, but the design makes it difficult to apply. It's easy if your guitar isn't strapped to your body, but when it is, the pressure on my wrist is quite uncomfortable.

Shipping box is difficult to open.Insufficient leverage for opening and closing the capo.Finish is totally smooth with no friction-assist for grabbing.Very heavy molded metal.Does not work on Guild F512E out of the box. Have to order a separate clamping membrane at $3.50 plus tax and shipping. Should have originally had a selection option to purchase a 12-string version. The clamp in the box does not work.The fact that Thalia requires so many different fretboard clamps make this a too un-universal capo. It should have been presented as such.A $14 capo from Amazon worked perfectly out-of-the-box on my 6- and 12-string guitars.This isn’t artwork. It is supposed to be a functional capo.Appearance is a distant factor for me to useability and string compression.I am returning this whole package. Marking it up to a failed try.I do not recommend this product.

Goodness this capo had high reviews. While it looks fantastic, it is useless. It pulls the low E and high E very much out of tune. No adjustment for it. The two pad inserts are 16, which matches my $5k Martin.If you want to look good and sound bad, this is your capo. I have an $8 capo that does much better than this. Back to my Shubbs and G7's.SO pricey for such poor performance.

Works great right out of the box. Smooth and intuitive operation. Holds strings in place but not too tightly as to squeeze the strings out of tune.

These capos have been around for a whilemostly available from the USA, but prohibitedly expensive, snagged a used one which didn't look used a return item,and works perfectly on my electrics and acoustics 16" radius fretboards

Thalia make pricy capos but in practical use they're well worth it. I've owned the initial kickstarter version, the later revision and now this one, and it feels like an improvement on the previous design. The universal radius fretpad works well and is much less fiddly than having to change pads for different guitars, the clamp feels slightly stronger and still doesn't pull the strings sharp. Really well designed product.
