These anchors are made specifically for the Elfa heavy duty shelf system, so when used for other items you some times have to use a bit of creativity, like i.e. using a washer and/or enlarge a hole in the time hung with a power drill. That being said, these anchors are my go to with drywall for heavier stuff. They're just super solid and very easy to use.The negative comments in here are for people who can't do DIY stuff, that's all it is. These anchors here WORK!!!

I use these all around the house whenever I need to hang something in drywall without a stud nearby. They are SO easy to use and they are the sturdiest I've found.Just one tip: Make SURE that the thing you are hanging has a hole big enough to allow the bolt that comes with these to fit through. For instance, I've drilled the hole for one of these anchors on a toilet paper holder, only to find that the bolt that comes with the anchor didn't fit through the hole provided in the toilet paper bracket. Hopefully that makes sense.All in all this is a fantastic product and I've found them to be well worth it.

Super pricy for anchors, these are nonetheless worth every penny.I hate drywall but I hate it a little bit less thanks to these, at least I can get a quality anchoring in drywall now.Even more amazing, they are fully reusable, many times over.As far as I know, and I would love to know, there is no equivalent for these in regular hardware stores.Another great product from the container store.

These anchors where installed when I got my place and these are the worst anchors I have ever used. THESE ANCHORS ARE NOT REUSABLE. I had to remove the objects hanging from this and when I went to put them back in about half of them have jammed and to get them out I have to destroy the wall. They are also stuck in the rail that I am hanging and I need bolt cutters to cut the screws off. The expanding sections collapse when I pull on them and this is how removed them from the wall when they jammed. Their holding strength is extremely poor. Finally the screws are way to long and take forever to screw in. Mildly annoying to have a machine screw that is about 3 inches long that I have to screw all the way in. For each anchor.
