These are great for storing embroidery thread. They are just basic and simple plastic boxes, but they do the job perfectly! Mine were shipped in bubble mailers and arrived fine, no damage. They close quite securely also, but are easy to open. I have 3 now and will probably need a few more soon and I’ll definitely buy these again!

I bought three of these containers for storing embroidery/cross-stitch floss. I'm laid up with a broken foot so I couldn't take pictures of the other two which are full. The container is sturdy. It actually didn't have that kind of chemical pungent oder. That was am unexpected plus. Each one has 16 sections to store skeins. There is a larger section that I use to store extra bobbins and other small tools like tweezers or measuring tape. I can easily store five full skiens on bobbins in each section. It will fit 6-7. However, in my experience it will likely damage the floss/thread. I was able to store about 80 bobbins in each container. These can also be used to store beads, but I wouldn't store seed beads in them. It would likely spill. You could store larger beads and jewelry making materials easily. I'm going to but several more to store various other craft supplies. Once I know how well it stores each type of supply, I'll update my review. The price is more reasonable than the ones at Wal-Mart and Hobby Lobby. The plastic is also more durable than the ones at this price point at the other stores. I definitely recommend this storage container for storing embroidery floss.

I have 4 of these to hold my embroidery thread. They work great, the plastic bobbins sit in the little compartments perfect. It separates the bobbins so they aren't all messed up. The lid snaps tight so they don't fall out.

I couldn't believe the price for so many! I didn't need all of them but have put 3 to use already. They are good quality for the price. The only drawback would be that they are tricky to open and close. But they do stay closed

The case is sturdy and practical for now. I have another idea using a tackle box to store more threads and scissors, needles.

I love this container for storing my working thread for my cross stitch project. Many of the divided storage units these days are advertised as having removable tabs, which in theory sounds great - until you realize that all of your threads get stuck underneath each of the tabs since they are not secured to the bottom!For now, I'll stick to the old school embroidery cases!

I’ve been doing counted cross stitch for over 30 years so I have quite the collection of dmc floss to start with but my newest project uses 234 colors and I didn’t want to have to dig through the stash for every color I needed to use. I now have the colors I need for the project in 4 of these storage containers and a smaller container for the colors of the particular page on the pattern I’m working on. It’s a bit chaotic but I’m finding it easier and less overwhelming than having to constantly have all the containers open all the time. These containers are well made, sturdy, and are great at keeping floss free of dirt and spills.
