I bought this map so I could plan out our hikes in advance, because my husband has a bad knee. I had to choose relatively short hikes that don't have steep hills. This map was really helpful because all the trails are on it, including distances. In conjunction with the map, I used the Falcon Guide to the Park, so I could read the trail descriptions and get more specific distance information. I highly recommend both.

This is a very portable and useful map. It outlines the trails throughout the Park very accurately and lets the hiker know what to expect. Very helpful for both planning a trip there and then use while on the trails.

This is the second edition I’ve purchased of this map. It has far more detail for trails and is excellent for riding horses around TRNP.

This map provides good detail of TR national park. It folds and unfolds easily. I appreciate the waterproof paper.

These "Trails Illustrated" maps are some of the best out there. Somewhat moisture proof for damp conditions without ruining them. Also I like the old fashioned folding maps because they are easier to carry and stow out of the way when not needed. Very detailed and informative.
