This is the exact replacement for my Thetford RV toilet base. It is fairly easily installed, although the instructions are sort of cryptic - they are trying to do too much on a small document. I had to remove and replace mine a 2nd time because I installed a gasket upside down! The quality of the hardware included was good, again identical to the original.

The base is supposed to come complete and fully functioning. This new base came without gaskets. I had to remove gaskets from old base and reuse them. New base water valve was defective in that it would not let water into tank to flush. I had to pour water into new base to flush. I will not buy again.

The entire package is much easier than dealing with the high tension spring that has a plastic retainer. The parts are over $50 and the entire base is a little over $80. If you try to deal with the spring you will understand.

This is a good direct replacement. Had a firm initial fit, took some coaxing to get it on. Hookups was spot on, well pleased with this product.

Bought this base rather than all the parts to rebuild the old base , cost was about vthe same for this as for parts to rebuild . This was the easier more cost effective choice

Ok so about a year or so ago my foot flusher arm dislodged itself from the spring. I replaced the foot flusher arm but had nothing but problems ever since. Finally I decided to replace the bottom end of the toilet and be done with the issues. It took about an hour to re and re the parts but im done and the toilet works like new! Seriously don't waste your time replacing parts just replace the whole bottom end and be done with it.

This was to repair the toilet in our motor home. We were told that we had to replace the whole toilet by a dealer! Wrong!! Saved us about $250.!
