My sons and I break a lot of rod tips. I don’t feel like replacing $200 rods just because of the tip. These are great quality and easy to install.

This set or replacement rod tips has a good selection of good quality tips to fit several different missing or broken tips. The variety of inside diameters makes it easy to fit most rods. I would recommend this set for many people to have on hand!!

The in-between size of this kit fit my 7-3 St. Croix Bass-X bass rod perfectly. A little larger actual guide compared to the original but the fit to the blank was perfect. Not the best guides out there but you know that going in to buying bulk. I go through 1or 2 inserts per rod on my tip-top guides per year reeling down to timber to dislodge lures. While this beats up the guide inserts they’re cheaper than buying new lures and prevent re-tying a bunch. So I’d rather have a bulk at lower quality on hand. Can’t imagine why a stick or mixture of glue doesn’t come with the kit but that is easily solved-just don’t use a permanent glue method. For those that haven’t changed a tip-top guide before just heat up the guide, remove with a pair of pliers, remove excess old glue, heat (or mix) the new glue to apply back to tip and reseat the guide of choice/size.

Nice little case, the eyelets seem to be good quality, I used glue and a heat shrink to put mine in and it gave them a nice finish. I will probably loose the box before I ever use them all. I would suggest using a caliper to measure the tip and order what you need. I have only needed 2 rid tips in the last 10yrs, by the time I need another one I'm sure these will be lost!
