Don't be fooled by the size of the Thrunite Archer since its approximately the size of a double A battery and a half. I've actually preferred the Thrunite rather than a dedicated UV rechargeable light because its really strong and a true 365nm light. So far I've used it for cleaning my car, checking floors at work (hospital environment) and home use for snail trails, cat pee marks, and anything else that can illuminate. I can stand about 10 feet away from an object and get a well lit illumination from how powerful and far this UV light can throw. Probably hence the name of the Thrunite "Archer" since it shoots so far. I also have bought the Duracell long lasting extra life batteries to pair with the light and with that in mind I've only ever used the first battery from the pack and is still capable of full power use after 6 months. Yes 6 months with only one battery and is not dim at all. Perfect gift or personal/work use especially if your in the responder field. Clean freaks like my wife also will love to get every spot possible to be able to sanitize and clean the area your cleaning at.

Too many so called UV lights are barely in the UV spectrum. The are usually expensive purple lights. While I am dubious this is truly 365nm, it is very impressive. First it is very small which was what I wanted. Battery is replaceable, not soldered in like other UV lights. And most importantly the wave length. This flashlight puts my more expensive light to shame, by the fact it is further into the UV spectrum. Just a tiny bit of blue-white light is visible. There is one negative, it doesn't have a power button, switch or the such. Only a twist on function. But I dismissed this due to the low price point. Very happy with this purchase.

I should have read the description or lack of. Not rechargeable. Did not come with a battery. Instructions say nothing of what type is needed.

This is a tiny light and a low price so you cannot expect too much. But for a 365 NM light it does work ok when looking for UV reactive stones. Sodalites glow brightly but most other stones that glow in the 365 NM range do not.This is surprisingly bright for its size though and it has a wide beam and also a narrow beam inside that.But it gets a bit warm to the hands after a few minutes.It works great for pet stains and also for checking money.

I enjoy this light very much. Small and compact. Has a great range of view and illuminates objects nicely.

We ordered this for a camping trip to see if could find some bioluminescent insects when we went camping. Not a very wide or powerful beam but it did get the job done.

This is not the kind of flashlight to shine away darkness. This is the kind of UV light that helps to reveal what our eyes can't see, can't detect (comparing our human eyes with a lot of birds, fish, insects and animals, our vision is very limited). You will be surprised if you've never used one. Shining this UV lights onto whatever will reveal the hidden dirt or stain that you didn't know existed (fun to use and gross to find out). This mini UV flashlight use one AA battery (disposable or rechargeable battery, not included) and it gives out a lot of light, very powerful for such a tiny thing not much bigger than the AA battery you put in there. The one thing that I notice is after turning it on for a few minutes, the flashlight became HOT and uncomfortable to hold or continue using. It's fun and sometimes essential to use it to find out if things are really clean or not. So, despite it becomes hot after a few minutes (we probably wouldn't use it for more than a couple minute at a time to check on whatever item anyway), I still highly recommend this tiny but powerful UV flashlight.

it is so tiny not much light shines from it..maybe 3 feet distance .get the cheap $6.00 one it will be about the same
