It has potential to be really useful, but the way my sewing machine is designed, the screw that holds the presser foot hits these guides, which isn't great. It might work for a larger seam allowance, but I was having this issue with a 5/8" seam allowance which was pretty typical.

I ordered two sets. One is for a granddaughter who has just begun to experiment with the art of sewing. The other I think I'll keep for myself. Maybe this old dog will even improve her straight line. If not I have a great granddaughter who is also learning to sew and she might find them useful.

I don't know what sewing machine they use in the video but I've got a Janome, Brother, and a Singer. Not one of my machines has a screw at the necessary spot to be able to use this.
