This is a very well designed product that works perfectly every time. I have used these fasteners for 2 decks now and will use them again. I find the time savings when used with the tiger claw pneumatic gun justifies the slightly high cost for the fastener. They load fast and shoot fast. The ability to remove them is great (although sometimes the thread is stripped in the joist and it just spins). The phillips head on them is not very deep (I think anyone who has used them would agree) and is sometimes hard to get a firm purchase between your driver tip and the head of the screw/nail. Overall, very little cons and very high "highs".

I use these all the time i'm using hidden fasteners for composite decking and they do the job quite well!

You might think it would be great that you will never need to remove the installed boards, but as a contractor I can tell you people change their minds as to color and they will say can you remove this board the dog scratched it and we just want that one board replaced. With this system that will be COMPLETELY impossible. You cannot unscrew an installed screw, you cannot drill the screw and destroy it and slide the board over the leftover stub because the metal used is harder than the drill bit.This is a major problem, you can never replace one board or any number of board because you will need to take down all the joists and rebuild the deck from scratch is you need to replace just one board. The way the gun install the screws is pretty fast and at first glance it looks really nice and solid, but the boards do not go in very well and the gap is larger than acceptable to me, much bigger than with the Trex fastening system.If you one screw in and want to take it out to adjust the board tighter you will not be able to do so. The screw does not come back out no matter what method you use. I spent $1000 on the fasteners, ouch that's a lot of money expecting to save that much time in labor. but the installation was not faster and i returned the product with full explanation for a full refund. I am check a few months later and none was given yet.So I do not think that one should buy ANY product from this company.
