I bought these to use for leather but i have also used them in clay. They are a great set of stamps. Nicely made. Not too small. You don't get the edges of the stamp when you stamp (meaning no box around the letter).

Bought it to stamp some leather.If you give it enough pressure that it will actually leave the letter imprint in it will also leave the imprint of the rectangular shape with it.

Good starter set for the money. Used with my kinder class to make bracelets for their parents. If hammered too heavily, the rectangular base shows in the stamp, but once I did a few practice rounds it was fine.

Will do the job well if: you use a heavy mallet and make sure you dampen the leather with water. Hold the stamp where it connects to prevent slipping, careful. The numbers or letters without much to them are more difficult, like 1 or I
