About this item

  • PROTECT YOUR FEET - Keep your feet safe from the hot sand with the Tilos Sport Skin Sock. The 2.5mm SupraTex sole provides superior insulation from the heat of the sand, while the lycra top is breathable and provides UPF50 UV protection. Reinforced toe and heel patches provide extra durability in areas that wear out quickly.
  • SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT - At only .45kg (1lb), you'll forget that you're wearing socks! Our 2.5mm sole provides superior insulation from the heat of the sand and is perfect for beach volleyball, snorkeling, or just relaxing at the poolside with friends.
  • BUILT TO LAST - The neoprene sole with adjustable hook and loop cuff ensures a comfortable, snug fit. Hook and loop ankle cuff prevents the sock from slipping off during strenuous activities.
  • DOPE-DYED YARN - We use a special process to dye our yarn, which is why you'll never find another sock like this. The color won't fade or bleed, and it's completely safe for your feet.
  • KIDS SIZES AVAILABLE - This sock is also available in kids sizes for little feet. The smaller size provides a tighter fit and more protection from the sun.

The Osmos by Tilos is the next generation in minimalist water shoes. The unique ventilated neoprene on the upper provides UV and thermal protection without creating a clammy feel when things heat up. The tatex rubber sole is vented to allow water to flow through but keeps sand out for maximum comfort

I can't believe I didn't know about these sooner!!!I (we - my husband also got a pair and loved them) bought these to take on our Mexico beach vacation. I've brought other water shoes before, and while good for excursions and such, they were not good for just walking on the beach because they would quickly fill with sand. THESE are great for beach walking! The sand on the beach in Cabo heats up quickly during the day, and will actually burn your feet if you're not careful! These made it so easy to just slip on and walk on the sand without feeling ANY heat. They are also SUPER comfortable! They are light weight and soft. I actually wondered if they were going to work and hold up because of that, but they were perfect! We also used them when we went Kayaking and Jet Skiing; they had great traction for getting on and off the equipment. Additionally, I wore mine in my flippers when we went snorkeling, because I inevitably either rub my heals and/or the tops of my feet raw if I don't wear something, and these fit in the flippers perfectly.NOTE!!!!!! DON'T GET A SHORTER ANKLE VERSION! Get the taller - over the ankle - crew size. My niece brought a different brand that was only ankle height, and she had a LOT of trouble with hers quickly filling up with sand just walking on the beach. Also - these are not for standing and playing in the rough surf and letting the waves (full of sand) crash over your feet and legs. Even with the adjustable ankle strap, the waves were too strong, and would push the sock down, which would then cause them to fill up with sand. They are easy to wash and quick to dry. I just washed ours in the sink with some mild soap, rinsed well, and hung them to dry.The size was also perfect for both me and my husband. I wear a size 7 to 7.5 women's and purchased the Small. My husband wears a size 10, and we got him the Large.

Very thin and breathable.. walking in the sand in a creek or on the beach launching my kayak.. these work perfectly for keeping the sand out.

I am rehabing a right hip replacement 9-12-15. Physical therapy is in the pool and my surgeon said let's not baby this and to push as hard as I can and he's right at this point! Started running in 4 to 5 feet of water but being in the water for 45 minutes prior, doing PT exercises and stretching my feet are already "prunie". I begin using a running motion to reteach the muscles and ligaments to move in a running motion pushing off the bottom of the pool to move forward. The pool floor is typical rough and after 15 to 20 minutes and a few laps I learned that I was wearing the skin off my toes and balls of my feet. Tried "water socks" but the glued in liner eventually just wrinkled up under the pushing pressure. So I looked to Amazon to find some sort of water sock with a rubber sole and bought a couple styles that were way too big and much more expensive. Tried these today for the first time, they are thinner and have a fabric sole that is slick on home floors. Did my rehab PT then ran 18 laps or about 900 ft.Pros: These are light and there is a scuba like material that seems to be sown into the insole. They protected already tender feet well. I put them through the ringer here.....read further please.Cons: The socks do move some after a lot of activity, partly because of the pressure pushing off of them but partly because the opening has Velcro to help tighten the top/opening around the ankle which is not long enough to allow for narrow or tapered calves. Suggest that the Velcro stitched in the area for the Velcro strap to attach be extended at least twice as long to allow for a tighter adjustment for those who might need it.Now, I said I put this through the ringer and even though I was in a pool, I put some serious running pressure on these socks. Turns out they fared pretty well but will not last under the tasks I am asking them to do at this point. The right foot showed little wear and is the hip I am rehabing. The left foot shows a serious wear pattern and there is early evidence of a tear in the material at his point. See pictures attached. Please, all you scuba enthusiasts DO NOT write me and tell me these are for scuba activities....I know that. This is an experiment to see if the lighter sock might hold up for about 6 more weeks of rehab and extra exercise to get me back to where I was before I was injured the better part of 9 years ago.

Well made. Velcro cuff makes them the easiest to get on and off of all these types of socks. Used them in karate class for a few months and washed semi-weekly, they've held up. A bit too loose for the twisting action of martial arts, as have to adjust them back to square under my sole very often. Would likley be a 4 or 5 star as a yoga or beach sock, or other applications where not so much twisting torque was placed on them. Breathe and wash well as only uses neoprene on sole/to/heel.

I am 45 and have been playing sand volleyball on the beach and other locations through tout the US since my 20's. If you are NOT able to play on nice Beach sand and are forced to play on sand of inferior quality or where the temperature of the sand is too hot or cold, then these are worth buying and wearing. It took me many months of torn up feet and burning through many pairs of thick socks to finally decide to try these. I should have done this a lot earlier. I never thought these would work but they actually work very well. No slippage. No holes yet. Very comfortable. My feet feel AWESOME after playing for hours. No more sore pads and dry feet.THANK YOU!

I bought these to play sand court volleyball. I've always had trouble playing in the sand because I don't like playing barefoot, and any kind of shoe tends to fill up with sand. These have done a great job keeping the sand out, and they also provide some insulation when the sand is hot. I've only had them a few weeks, so I can't comment on durability, but so far they're working great.Sizing - I wear a size 12 shoe, so I bought XL. They're a little loose (XL is supposed to fit 12-13, so that was expected), but that allows me to wear a pair of regular socks under them, which makes them even more comfortable for what I need, which doesn't involve getting them wet at all.
